My Personal Endorsement

PRESIDENT Barack Obama, from the deepest and most loving part of my heart, I want to thank you for giving this soldier hope for a future. Currently I am deployed to Iraq on a 15 month tour, its pure hell and I and my fellow soldiers go through a lot, of course you already know this. With what little money we have we donated to your campaign and we are praying for you to win it all in November! Were doing what we can despite lack of supplies, food, books, magazines and a lot of other things. I just want to say I personally thank you for being a champion for change and a lone voice for us soldiers in Iraq. Iraq has destroyed mine and my comrades lives, I’m recently divorced because of the constant deployments (I’m on my second tour). I’m a 22 year old black male and although I don’t view race as an issue I feel I can relate you a lot better! So God bless you in your quest for the highest honor in the land! Thank you Mr. President and please continue to pray for us troops!

Letter to You

By: Tony L. Jefferson, Jr.

Looking into your eyes, I see the light that shines, I see the fear and uncertainty and I see a tear about to fall from your beautiful face. Even through your sadness I see your strength, even through your fear I see your commitment.

All good things come to an end, but can all bad things turn out good? It is not the ending of our life, nor is one we would have wished for, but our souls must part ways, so that as individuals we will grow strong and successful.

Starting over is always hard, but the beginning of something is always good. I don’t wish for us to split, I don’t wish for us to quit, but some situations we can’t shake, we can’t force an enforceable thing and destroy what we have left; we were friends first, never bitter enemies, never bitter rivals. Yes, we had out fights and arguments, but they helped us grow and learn life’s lessons.

Thinking of the times we had, I would say we did great, we were one, we bonded, and we were an unshakable team. My love was and still is there and your love keeps me sane, keeps me wanting more, and keeps my hopes and dreams alive.

Your love means the most, it means everything to me, but the love is not lost, but found anew, because when you love someone, their happiness means the most to you!

Take Me

By: Tony L. Jefferson, Jr.

Take me away to a far away place

Take me from this hurt and betrayal

What did I do to deserve such pain?

A hole has formed where my heart use to be

My love for you will forever be strong, it has no boundaries, and my current states of emotions are a mix of anger and sadness. Take me back before the change of heart, before my life shattered like fallen glass, before I sunk into this shell of my former self.

Take me to a place where love and happiness dwells, where the suns bright and guiding light shines upon my face

Take me from this wretched hell hole of sorrows, this underworld of pain and despair. Make me whole; make me understand why I must feel this way.

The love we had was like no other, the passion and affection was on another level of feel good, it took us high above the reality of our realm Took us to heights of passionate love making.

Now I am falling, falling into darkness, falling into despair, falling into numbness.

Where did you go from me?

What did I do?

How did we get here?

Take me back to you, back to your smiling face

Take me into your arms, so I can embrace the warmth of your love, warming me from this cold darkness.

Just to touch you ignites familiar feelings and thoughts of better times

Here we are staring into each others eyes searching for an answer to the madness, but it is not your fault nor is it mine

That is just the way love goes sometimes.
